BAB / SCANNNERS is a collaborative place.
Through the accessibility and versatility of risograph printing, Burn All Books has become an avenue for promoting and publishing alternative art as resources from and for the people. As of January 2023, we have published over 35 publications and worked with over 100 artists, writers and zine makers since beginning in October 2017. Burn All Books strives to continue printing, growing and fostering an inclusive space for art and culture with a DIY spirit.
With the opening of our physical location BAB & Friends has developed into a multi-use artist space, facilitated by a core crew of independent self-publishers, artists, printmakers, and organizers. Together, this group runs SCANNNERS Archive, a zine & ephemera library and community event space, funded by BAB using direct labor & friendship with no purpose other than a true belief in the transformative process of creating things together.
Officially opening in November of 2023, SCANNNERS also operates as an avenue for community programming, providing the majority of our workshops and events to our neighbors and friends free of charge. In January of 2025, we incorporated Scannners as a 501(c)(3) and folded our programming into that umbrella. Everything at BAB cross pollinates.
SCANNNERS Archive, Inc. is a 503 (c) (3). Our tax EIN is 33-2838993.
Our space features shelving and carpentry by David Mondragon and sign painting by Ethan Gaige Dueñas.
Website lovingly made and stewarded by Caiti Borruso, running on Cargo. This website, like BAB, is always evolving.
