Elizabeth Juarez Newsstand Takeover
January - March 2026

Public Inquiry, an interactive installation, poses a question and encourages anonymous responses from the public. Collected responses will be featured in a future publication.

Elizabeth Juarez (Untitled Tile Project)

Juarez created tile-based works featuring a range of messages. Drawing on her father’s background as an immigrant who worked in construction and tiling on her home, she followed his practice by producing a contemporary interpretation of tile work. Each piece functions as a self-contained world. While the works are playful and visually appealing, they are intended to engage viewers on a deeper level and contribute to their sense of wellbeing.

Go buy a tile!

Matty Terrones Newsstand Takeover w/ Brad Van Arsdale
December 2024 - January 2025

Stochastic FM, Matty Terrones
Risograph inspired sound recordings, installation, and limited edition SFM cassette. Felted listening station by Toni and expanded Stochastic 2.0 video installation by Brad Van Arsdale.

STOCHASTIC
adjective

involving chance or probability

Inspired by C. Spencer Yeh's "The RCA Mark II," I recorded the sounds of the risograph printer doing its thing at Burn All Books. Nick pressed some buttons, made some prints, and I hit record. The result is a deranged and randomized collage of sounds, with a title taken from a type of printing / frequency modulation called Stochastic.

Is it art? Is it simply annoying? Is it even music?
